Networks Northwest is seeking a full time/interim AmeriCorps Member for a one-year assignment starting in September of 2024. As a participant of this one-year program, AmeriCorps members provide direct, comprehensive services to those experiencing, or at-risk of, homelessness. Members will bring those individuals under the scope of services, assist with increasing self-sufficiency in the areas of income, life skills, and employment, and assist with obtaining/maintaining employment. Members will fulfill their specific positions, based on the needs of their host site organization, to contribute toward this increased capacity to serve their communities more efficiently and effectively.

Northwest Michigan Works! is seeking an organized, detail oriented, compassionate individual to fulfill the roles of Work-Based Learning Coordinator and WIOA Youth Advisor in Emmet and Charlevoix counties. The selected candidate will help support young adults through work-based learning experiences as part of the Jobs for Michigan Graduates (JMG) Program and provide services offered through the WIOA program. Responsible for helping young people stay in school through graduation and for providing work-based learning experiences and support that lead to career advancement opportunities.
This is a full-time professional position that partners with the local and intermediate school districts. A person in this position works directly with program youth, school staff, employers and community organizations.

Do you have a passion for working with our area’s youth? Northwest Michigan Works! is seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to fulfill the role of Youth Career Advisor in Wexford, Missaukee, Benzie and Manistee counties. The selected candidate will help young adults create career goals that are achievable, and will support them as they make decisions and take action to realize those goals. As a Youth Career Advisor your work will assist young adults as they work to overcome barriers to education and employment.
The Youth Career Advisor will also act as a mentor, empowering their customers to make life-changing decisions by providing appropriate and specific evaluation, analysis, and problem-solving skills; and work to connect them with services they need to achieve their employment goals.
