“Pro Image Design is excited to announce that we have successfully developed our first Apprenticeship Program, focused on the Sign Erector trade, in collaboration with Northwest Michigan Works! and the US Department of Labor. While the program is now fully designed and ready to launch, we look forward to welcoming our first apprentice and beginning the hands-on execution phase. Northwest Michigan Works! commitment to understanding our business needs has been outstanding. This program marks a significant step in Pro Image Design’s dedication to developing skilled professionals and ensuring that we continue to provide exceptional service to our clients,” stated Alan and Tara Hubbard, Owners, Pro Image Design.

Launching three new unique occupations, World Magnetics will be offering CNC, Mold Setter and Drafter (CAD Assembly) apprenticeships. The company will provide on the job learning with curriculum provided by Northwestern Michigan College.

“I believe the apprenticeship program is a game-changer for nurturing talent and securing the future of our workforce. It’s not just about filling positions; it’s about cultivating a new generation of skilled professionals who will carry forward our industry’s legacy. For a company like World Magnetics, this initiative is a golden opportunity to attract bright, motivated individuals and impart invaluable skills that go beyond the scope of traditional education. With this program, we’re not just shaping our team—we’re investing in our company's future and ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation and excellence,” mentioned Martin Paul, President, World Magnetics.

Registered apprenticeships are certified through a partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor and are a proven training method for employers to build a talent pipeline of highly skilled, educated employees. Northwest Michigan Works! provides technical assistance and administrative support for registered apprenticeships, including development, implementation and program management.

Our Township greatly benefits from Network Northwest's experience, depth of knowledge and understanding. Because they work with so many diverse communities in our ten-county region they understand the local land-use issues and are already working on solutions by the time we realize we need some help.
